Jean-Philippe Lebœuf

Product Wizard · AI-Augmented Software Engineer · Knowledge Architect

Hello! I’m Jean-Philippe, a product-oriented software engineer with decades of experience building software where elegant UX demands elegant code.

My journey has taken me from AI research to leading remote engineering teams. I transform complex ideas into impactful products—shipping daily with AI-augmented workflows that multiply my throughput while keeping quality high. Remote-first since 2007, I thrive in async, distributed environments.

I approach product development strategically, combining technical expertise with analytical thinking to solve problems. My T-shaped skillset allows me to collaborate seamlessly across disciplines and geographies, always striving for process improvement.

I’ve worn many hats—CTO, product lead, team lead, meetup organizer, and university teacher—each shaping my balanced technical and interpersonal skills across cultures and continents.

Core values? Optimism, grit, and honesty. I bring a can-do attitude, meticulous attention to detail, and a drive for delivering results to every project.

I chose agentic AI as my specialization 25 years before the current wave—studying knowledge engineering, semantic distributed systems, and language models at Paris-Saclay University (M.Sci. Cognitive Sciences) and EPITA (M.Eng. Computer Science). That foundation isn’t a past chapter; it’s the lens I apply every day to the tools reshaping our industry.

I’m also a published author and active writer. I authored a best-selling book on full-stack development, and I write regularly on LinkedIn and Medium about product engineering, remote work culture, and the philosophy of AI.

Want to build something great together? Let’s chat. I’m always excited to take on new challenges and push the boundaries of what’s possible in software development.
